Surprise visit and present from DONE! employees

2021-04-01
DONE! employees have often shown that they get a lot of pleasure from helping others and are eager to get involved in charity. And so it was now. To celebrate the coming Easter holidays, the DONE! Team decided to surprise pupils of the Special Care and Education Centre in Kaczyna, famed for their outstanding artistic talent. We already had two occasions to find this out personally: when the children made us pictures of the bear and when we admired their hand-crafted Christmas cards.

Our task

DONE! Employees did not need much encouragement – one e-mail was enough to get us moving. Our goal was to put together a parcel with arts and crafts supplies for the kids. Each department did their bit to create the brim-filled, colourful present. Naturally our parcel could not be short on crayons, glue, coloured paper, stickers, glitter, or any other items beloved by the smallest of great artists.

The pupils’ reaction

Actually, it was the same with the children: as soon as the Headteacher of the Kaczyna Centre mentioned that we wanted to give them an Easter present, they immediately grabbed crayons, paint and made us some beautiful artwork.

Great day

On 31 March our two-person delegation visited the centre and gave the pupils our present. We got a very warm welcome, despite current restrictions. There was no end of joy on both sides.

Once again we could see how little is needed to bring a smile to somebody’s face. At DONE! we deliver good deeds as well as shipments and this gives us even more satisfaction.
